Looking at a cake and the bright side ......

It has been a long time since we publish any blog on CeraLife. Is it the we are too busy to write about life ...... or we are too busy to appreciate it ? Going on a trip lately for a break. while waiting for train, we were standing next to a cake shop...... a really wonderful cake shop. We took a picture of one of the many display... and it suddenly come to our mind that ..... Life is a journey. Along the way, it very much depend on what you choose to see . In this particular case, we happened to to choose to look at this wonderful cake and have the fun moment admire this cake. Thus, in life, you will feel and experience what you choose to see...... thus, it is important that one will always focus his or hers attention on the bright side..... What do you think?

Secret to achieving more in life ...... Fire in the belly.

Looking back, there are many things that we know should be done but just simply not done. There will always be many reasons (or excuses), even when we know getting it done is important to what we want to achieve ( in business or even in personal life).

We have found this method very useful in getting things done or pushing yourselve into doing something (that you know is important but just need that little extra PUSH!)

Fire in the Belly

Having the task in your mind, start to imaging fire (not butterfly) in your belly growing from orange to red. Feel the heat and the burning energy in your belly , this fire provide you with the fuel and energy to execute and complete the task . The next time when you just simply can't pull yourselve to complete a task, try it.

Now, with all the methods that we have shared (Good x 10, blooming flower, back pushing/helicopter...) combine with the Fire in the belly, we hope you will be able to meet all the challenge in life and move forward positively.

Climb up with joy

While climbing up a flight of stair one late night, tired and just after a full day work. Some how, the same stair appears to be longer and steeper than usual. Have you ever experience similar situation when you are tired or just down? Life just appears tougher then it actually is.
After discussion , we come out with a" stair booster" which we later find applicable to life as well.
Next time when you climb up a stair, imaging there is a powerful helicopter flying infront pulling you up, or an imaginative force pushing you from behind. You will fill a sense of strength and climbing up the stair will become effortless and enjoyable.

Try applying the same theory to any thing in life, wouldn't that give you an extra booster to complete your task, making thing a little bit easier? Enjoy!

We welcome your feedback.

The Art of Zero

While going through the Chinese ancient history and stories for our next new model design, we read about the profound and interesting aspect of ZERO. In Zero or circle, there is no absolute starting of ending. The exact point of ending is also the exact point of starting (for the next cycle). Thus, in the time dimension, ending of an event represent starting of the next event (whatever event it might be).
A very common logic we always use to counter Monday-Blue, the starting of Monday means we are moving closer to the wonderful Weekend. Thus, Monday is not that bad afterall, without the start of Monday, you will never reach the next Saturday that you look forwards to.

This offer a different perspective in how we look at things. Ending of an event will never be
An event coming to an end will never be and end any more as it will lead to the start of next event.

One day, if we terminate this website, it will symbolise the start of next phrase or event in our company. Even if we choose to do nothing after that, it is a start of next event "of not doing any thing"?
Hope you enjoy looking at the Zero below....................

Blooming flower

We can't remember how we got this 3D paper origami model which we cutout and made long time ago. We have lost our source. Although the paper has turned yellowish but it is still kept in our office today.
Whoever designed this fascinating and beatiful model, we really appreciate and enjoy watching it blooming whenever we open it up. (although we are still trying to find out the name for this flower).

Each time we open up the model, watching the blooming flower, we can feel the opening up of our hearts and the expansion of a world of creativity. It also has a healing effect that make you feel happier each time you pull and opens up the flower slowly. This is truely a piece of great art.

We having been trying to design a paper automata on flower but has not be successful after building a few prototype. None of them are able to give a reasonably touching feel. We may never be able to design one with such a beatiful feeling.
It will be great and has always been our wish to design paper automata that make people feel happy each time they turn the automata. As for now, we are happy each time we watch this beatiful model.

Good , Good , Good, Good x 10

Chinese display auspicious characters and drawing during the new year or through out the year in their house. One of the possible reason is the belief that the auspiciour images bring good luck, prosperity and happiness. At least it work pyschologically and this is one tip and example:

In the morning , before begin the day, try writing on your palm the word "Good" 10 times and imaging all the good things coming to you. You focus and attention will be on all the good things you are currently enjoying and feel fortunate. On the other hand, try imaging if you write "bad" 10times on your palm, what will you be seeing? This is one of the tips that we learn and if you try hard and long enough, you will learn to appreciate life more. Good, Good, Good, Good .....Of course, you can replace the word with your own choice.

With the same direction, we will try to design a series of good fortune automata models so that you can made the model and receive good luck!

Smile, Smile, Smile, CeraSmile

It is no fun if success in life does not bring happiness. In CeraCera, we all want to be happy.... for whatever reason. We recently learn a way to easily smile, or at least wear a smile on our face (a real smile). It has been an easy task and we are now practicing it everyday. This exercise does make us smile more readily..... probably it tones up our smile muscle around our face.

Go and try it for yourselve. When you are feeling down, or simple need to have a smile, hold a pen, chopstick..... with your lips and bite it lightly. Stretch your lips and your mouth will natually opens up and .... SMILE.
